GymAdapt: the gym part, done for you
Most fitness apps count steps or stream classes. GymAdapt is for lifting: it writes your plan, shows each exercise on video, logs your sets in a tap and picks your next weight. Free to start; code TRYFREE01 gives a month of Pro free.
"Fitness app" covers everything from step counters to meditation. Trying to find one app that does it all usually ends with an expensive subscription you barely use. The better approach: decide what you want to change, then pick the app built for that.

Two apps beat five
Every extra app is another subscription and another place to log. For most people the winning setup is one training app you open every workout and one food app if you are changing your weight. Add a sleep tracker only if you will act on what it tells you.
If you only get one
If your goal is to look and feel stronger, make it a strength training app. Lifting two to four times a week improves body composition, bone density and metabolic health, and it is the thing most people would benefit from doing more of. Classes and step counts are good additions, not replacements.
GymAdapt is free to start. Want Pro free for a month?
The free version gives you an AI-built plan and unlimited workouts. Code TRYFREE01 adds a full month of Pro: weights that adjust from what you log and unlimited coach chats.
Redeem the free month → Opens the App Store with the code filled in. iPhone only. After the month it's $4.99/mo unless you cancel in Settings, and the free version stays yours either way.Questions people ask
What is the best fitness app?
It depends on the goal. For lifting, GymAdapt (our app, free tier, iPhone only); for classes, Apple Fitness+ or the free Nike Training Club; for running, Strava; for food, MyFitnessPal or Cronometer.
What is the best free fitness app?
Nike Training Club is fully free for classes. GymAdapt has a free tier with an AI gym plan and unlimited workouts. Strava and MyFitnessPal have useful free versions.
Is Apple Fitness+ worth it?
If you like follow-along classes and own an Apple Watch, $9.99 a month is fair. If you mainly lift weights, a strength app that tracks your sets and raises your weights is better value.
Do I need a fitness app to get fit?
No, but it helps. An app removes the guesswork (what to do, how much to lift) and keeps a record, which is what keeps most people consistent.
Is there a free trial of GymAdapt Pro?
Yes. The yearly plan has a 7-day free trial, and code TRYFREE01 gives a full month of Pro free on iPhone.
A coach, not just a counter, free to start
