How to cancel Snap Fitness, step by step
- Find your home club's email and address (on your agreement or the club page).
- Write a short notice: your full name, membership details and a clear sentence that you are cancelling your membership.
- Email it to the club or deliver it in person. Do not rely on a phone call, text message or social media message: the terms say these are not accepted.
- Keep a copy and the date you sent it. The club should respond within 7 working days; chase it if it does not.
- Keep paying through the notice window, then check your statement.

Cooling-off period
Snap Fitness's terms give a cooling-off period of 48 hours after you sign (7 days for WA clubs; ACT clubs have a 7-day cooling-off for agreements of three months or more). Cancel in writing within that time and payments are refunded, less fees for services already provided and the administration charge.
Pause instead of cancelling?
- You can pause for up to three months a year.
- Give written notice at least five days before your next billing cycle.
- A processing charge applies for each paused month, paid at the start of the pause.
- On minimum-term agreements, the term is extended by the pause length.
- You cannot cancel during a pause, so cancel before pausing if you are done.
Your rights by state
- Western Australia: under WA's fitness code you can cancel by written notice, including email, the business cannot insist you cancel in person, and the notice period cannot be more than 30 days.
- Queensland: you can end a fitness agreement by giving written notice and paying the termination fee (if any) set out in your agreement; the provider cannot charge more than the maximum stated in it.
- Other states: your membership agreement sets the rules; contact your state's fair trading or consumer affairs office if a club will not process a valid written notice.
