Planet Fitness memberships are cheap, which is why so many people keep paying for one they no longer use. Ending it is simple once you know which route Planet Fitness accepts and when the request has to arrive.
Can you cancel Planet Fitness on the app?
Not inside the PF app itself. Planet Fitness's FAQ points to its online member portal on the website. The app and the website share the same login, so on a phone the quickest route is to open planetfitness.com in Safari or Chrome and sign in with your app email and password. Deleting the app does not cancel anything.
Option 1: cancel online through the member portal
- Go to planetfitness.com and choose My Account.
- Sign in with the same email and password you use in the PF app.
- Open your membership details and follow the steps to end your membership.
- Save the confirmation (screenshot or email) and check your next statement.
Option 2: cancel in person at your home club
Go to the front desk of your home club (the one you joined at) with your ID and ask to end your membership. Ask for a printed or emailed confirmation.
Option 3: cancel by mail
Send a signed letter to your home club with your full name, date of birth, Club Pass or barcode number and the date you want the membership to end. Use certified mail so you have proof of delivery, and keep a copy.
