GymAdapt: a strength plan that uses the whole Life Time floor
Life Time gives you platforms, racks, cables and a deep dumbbell rack. GymAdapt turns that into a plan for your goal and days, plays a video for every lift, logs each set and raises your weights as you get stronger. Get GymAdapt free on the App Store →
Life Time clubs are large: a fitness floor with racks and Olympic platforms, Eleiko barbells and bumper plates, plate-loaded and selectorized machines, cable units, dumbbells and kettlebells, plus pools, studios, courts and recovery rooms at many locations. The Life Time Digital app runs the club side of that. The day-to-day lifting plan is where a training app helps.
What Life Time Digital and L.AI.C do
- Free app for members and non-members.
- Club tools: reserve classes and courts, schedule appointments, register for events.
- L.AI.C (built with Microsoft, in the app since 2025): ask for something like a three-day strength program and it returns guided workout videos with recommended reps, plus class suggestions.
- Where a lifting app helps: logging every set, rep and weight over months, and deciding when each lift should go up.

A 3-day Life Time workout plan
| Day | Exercises (3 x 8-12 unless noted) |
|---|---|
| Day 1 · Full body A | Barbell back squat 4 x 5-8 (rack) · bench press 3 x 6-8 · chest-supported row · cable lat pulldown · plank 3 x 45 s |
| Day 2 · Full body B | Trap-bar or conventional deadlift 3 x 5 (platform) · standing overhead press 3 x 6-8 · cable row · dumbbell split squat · cable face pull |
| Day 3 · Full body C | Front squat or hack squat · incline dumbbell press · pull-up or assisted pull-up · hip thrust · kettlebell farmer carry 3 x 30-40 m |
Train three non-consecutive days a week. Rest 2-3 minutes on the first lift, 1-2 minutes on the rest.
How to progress
- Use the rep range. Start with a weight you can lift for the bottom of the range with good form.
- Add reps, then weight. When every set hits the top of the range, go up 2.5-5 lb (1-2.5 kg) next time.
- Stop 1-2 reps short of failure on most sets.
- Run it 6-8 weeks before changing exercises.
Life Time tips
- Use the platforms for deadlifts so you can drop bumper plates safely.
- Book recovery like a workout: sauna or an easy swim on a rest day.
- Ask L.AI.C for ideas, then commit to one plan for 6-8 weeks; progress comes from repeating the same lifts.
- Log every set. Track your Life Time workouts in GymAdapt →
